Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking a Senior DDR & FPGA Validation Engineer in the United Kingdom to validate DDR3/DDR4 interfaces and FPGA prototyping. You will collaborate with hardware, FPGA, software and PCB/SI teams to ensure production readiness and robust system validation.

The role demands hands-on lab work, creation of detailed validation plans, and strong scripting skills in Python and C/C++. Experience with high-speed interfaces and regression automation is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hardware/system validation experience.
• Strong knowledge of DDR3/DDR4 architecture and JEDEC standards.
• Experience with high-speed interfaces (PCIe, USB, Ethernet, MIPI, UFS, SPI, I2C).
• Experience validating modem, wireless or SoC platforms.
• Hands-on with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, JTAG, BERT, TDR, thermal chambers.

Responsibilities

• Validate DDR3/DDR4 interfaces across functional, timing, electrical and performance requirements.
• Develop validation plans and perform timing, voltage, frequency and temperature margin analysis.
• Debug DDR training and calibration issues; perform eye analysis and BER measurements.
• Support FPGA bring-up and hardware/software co-validation; system integration.
• Conduct stress, reliability, and production-readiness testing; eye diagrams, jitter, SI analysis.
