Role Summary
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting fundraising at the British Museum, ensuring we have the excellent data, systems and processes needed to build strong relationships with our supporters.
As Senior Database Manager (Fundraising), you will lead the management and development of our Raiser’s Edge (RE7) database and oversee the processes that underpin fundraising, Membership and Patron activity. Sitting within the Development department’s Strategy and Operations team, you will ensure our data is accurate, secure and well managed, enabling colleagues to make effective use of it for fundraising, stewardship, communications, reporting and decision-making.
This is an important time to join the Museum. As we embark on the Masterplan, one of the most significant cultural redevelopment projects in the world, you will help ensure that our database and wider CRM infrastructure are ready to support an ambitious new capital campaign and the future needs of a global fundraising department.
This role offers the opportunity to combine data leadership, people management and continuous improvement in support of the British Museum’s fundraising ambitions at a particularly important point in its future.

This physical and intellectual transformation includes large scale building and gallery transformation, new ways of connecting with audiences and different ways of working. As we look towards this exciting future, we remain guided by the words of our founder Hans Sloane - who dreamed of a museum connecting all arts and sciences, which would be accessible to everyone, everywhere.
