Job summary

Carnival UK is seeking a Senior Analyst, Database Administrator to bring deep database expertise to our technology team. The role covers security, performance, backups, and vendor relations across shore and ship estates, with leadership in incidents and improvements.

We offer a hybrid working pattern with up to two days from home. Candidates with Oracle and SQL Server experience and ITIL/Change Management familiarity are encouraged to apply for this fixed-term contract.

Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise production databases (Oracle and MS SQL Server).
• Familiar with ITIL, Change Management (ServiceNow).
• Password management experience (KeePass/Idira/Cyberark).
• Ability to lead incident, root cause analysis, and improvements.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME across database technologies for operational and project delivery.
• Manage database security, risk, compliance, capacity, performance, monitoring, backups, replication, and vendor relations.
• Lead incident and problem investigation, root cause analysis, and technical improvement activities.
• Lead the administration, support, maintenance, and service improvement of database technologies across our shore and ship estate.
