This role offers an opportunity to work with modern Oracle technologies in a supportive environment. Responsibilities include overseeing database setups, performance monitoring, and ensuring data security. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with Oracle databases, proficiency in SQL/PLSQL, and comfort with both Linux and Windows. The position initially requires on-site work before moving to a hybrid model.

Qualifications

• Extensive practical experience managing Oracle databases in live environments.
• Confident working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and migrating systems from traditional servers.
• Comfortable using both Linux and Windows for administrative tasks.
• Proficient with Linux and Windows administration for DB tasks.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle recovery tools and advanced features.
• Expert SQL/PLSQL, performance tuning and query optimization.
• Familiar with Oracle management tools and modern DB architectures.
• Understanding of database protection and security controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the setup & maintenance of Oracle database environments.
• Keep a close eye on performance, resolving issues and refining efficiency.
• Safeguard data through solid backup, recovery, and security routines.
• Create and update scripts, documentation, and automation for systems.
• Collaborate with application teams to optimize queries and system responsiveness.
• Manage updates, patches, and version changes to keep platforms current.
• Configure and maintain ORDS services and related API connections.
• Make targeted data adjustments as needed.
• Perform checks to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
