Job summary

Our Future Health is seeking a Senior Data Scientist specializing in privacy, security and risk modelling to design and scale data-driven controls protecting participants while enabling research.

You’ll develop discloser controls for triage of outputs, assess privacy risk across datasets and models, and collaborate with governance, legal, and security teams in a hybrid London-based role.

Qualifications

• Significant experience applying data science, machine learning, statistics to real-world datasets.
• Strong statistical expertise to quantify risk and validate models.
• Strong Python skills and production-quality code.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams to design data products and pipelines.
• User-focused delivery translating needs into technical requirements.
• Applied ML with understanding of privacy attacks and risk.
• Exposure to privacy-preserving ML frameworks and PETs.
• Experience with sensitive or regulated data and privacy risks.
• Ability to translate ambiguous problems into clear data questions.

Responsibilities

• Develop data-driven approaches to disclosure control and safe outputs review for TRE Airlock.
• Collaborate with Airlock reviewers to balance automation and human judgement.
• Contribute to de-identification and risk assessment across datasets and outputs.
• Develop safe AI approaches for health data and privacy risk management.
• Explore synthetic data generation with privacy and utility trade-offs.
• Collaborate with Information Security on data-driven security controls and monitoring.
• Build prototypes and production-quality code with engineers.
• Coordinate with governance, legal, ethics, and operations for compliance.
• Keep up with emerging privacy methods and related tech.
