Job summary

Our Future Health Limited in London is seeking a Senior Data Scientist specialising in privacy, security and risk modelling to design, build and scale data‑driven controls that protect participants while enabling cutting‑edge research. This hands‑on role combines data science with engineering to create safe outputs, de‑identification risk assessment, synthetic data and governance‑aligned solutions.

Qualifications

• Significant experience applying data science, machine learning, statistical modelling to real‑world datasets.

Responsibilities

• Develop data‑driven approaches to disclosure control and safe outputs review, supporting the scaling of our TRE (Trusted Research Environment) Airlock.
• Work directly with Airlock reviewers and operational users to understand where automation can help and how tools should be designed to support auditable decisions.
• Contribute to de‑identification and re‑identification risk assessment, and assess privacy risk across datasets, access models and outputs.
• Help develop approaches to safe AI using health data, evaluating privacy risks of trained models.
• Explore synthetic data generation and evaluate privacy, fidelity and utility trade-offs of different approaches.
• Collaborate with Information Security on data‑driven security control assessment, threat detection and monitoring.
• Build prototypes and production‑quality code with engineers to turn approaches into robust tools.
• Work with governance, legal, ethics and operational colleagues to ensure controls meet requirements.
• Keep up with emerging methods in privacy‑preserving computation and related areas.
