Job summary

Relay Technologies is building a digital twin to simulate Relay's network economics across first-mile, middle-mile, and last-mile operations. We seek a strong modeller who can productionise models, work in Python/SQL, and partner with finance to explore pricing, margins and forecasts.

You will join a data org of ~30 engineers, analysts, and data scientists, embedded in the finance squad, delivering scalable, production-ready modelling tools with clear documentation and testable code.

Qualifications

• Strong modelling skills and systems thinking are essential.
• Fluent in Python and SQL, with ability to perform data engineering tasks.
• Experience with financial modelling, forecasting, or simulation is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Evolve and productionise the digital twin and its cost components.
• Upgrade engines when new first-mile models roll out.
• Model changes to sortation costs and new service types with precision.
• Add flows, metrics, and robust components for decision-making tools.
• Develop new strategic models and forecasts alongside the twin.
• Collaborate with finance to translate questions into modelling problems.
