Job summary

Santander UK is seeking a Senior Data Scientist & SanTalk Product Owner to lead customer-facing AI initiatives across contact centres and digital channels. You will own the UK SanTalk vision, collaborate with Group teams, and drive production-ready AI solutions in a regulated environment.

The role requires 6–8 years in data science and strong leadership, with experience in conversational AI and product lifecycle management. The position offers a hybrid work model in Milton Keynes.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years in data science or advanced analytics with leadership of AI solutions.
• Experience in customer-facing or conversational AI is highly preferred.
• Undergraduate degree in CS/DS/Statistics/Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Act as UK Product Owner for SanTalk, setting vision, roadmap, backlog.
• Translate UK priorities into prioritized AI use cases and delivery plans.
• Own end-to-end delivery, rollout and operation of SanTalk solutions.
• Provide technical direction to Data Scientists, Engineers and MLOps.
