Job summary

Consult in London is seeking a Managing Consultant to lead its Data Science offering for Energy & Utilities. You will build and lead teams, shape new analytics propositions, and drive outcomes for clients in energy, utilities and critical national infrastructure.

You will combine hands-on data science with strategic leadership, overseeing business development, client relationships and delivery. The role requires senior credibility in Python, SQL, Databricks and related tools, and a track record

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data science leadership and/or consulting.
• Track record leading AI, advanced analytics and data capability from design through to scale.
• Senior stakeholder network across energy, utilities, infrastructure or data/tech.
• Commercial acumen: developed and sold analytical propositions.
• Degree, MSc or PhD in data science, maths, OR, physics or statistics.
• Hands-on credibility with Python, SQL, Databricks, PySpark, Palantir Foundry or R.

Responsibilities

• Join the management team: build and lead teams, shape and launch new data and analytics propositions.
• Lead business development and own client relationships and outcomes.
• Guide energy and utilities clients through complex data and digital challenges.
• Apply data science, advanced analytics, ML and operational research to real-world problems.
• Coach and grow the team through technical leadership.
