Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Science to join the Drug Development DSAA team. You will lead analyses across clinical and omics data, developing predictive models and scalable pipelines that inform decision‑making in drug development.

The role emphasizes collaboration with statisticians, clinicians, and data engineers, applying AI/ML, NLP, and robust statistics to diverse data types and development stages.

Qualifications

• PhD in a quantitative field with 1+ years of experience; or Master’s with 3+ years in industry.
• Strong data science and statistical analysis experience using clinical trials or EHR data.
• Experience building and validating models on high‑dimensional data for time-to-event and longitudinal outcomes.
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL and cloud platforms; familiarity with AI/ML and NLP.
• Understanding of clinical trial design, drug development, and biomarkers in decision‑making.
• Ability to advance innovative methods to accelerate drug development and handle diverse data types.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement computational methods for patient segmentation and biomarker discovery from multimodal data.
• Conduct analyses on clinical trial and real‑world data cohorts across genomics, imaging, and other omics.
• Integrate and visualize high‑dimensional datasets to support development decisions.
• Formulate and validate predictive models; automate modelling workflows at scale.
• Apply AI/ML, NLP, and explainable AI in multiple development contexts; ensure rigorous statistical practices.
• Collaborate with statisticians, clinicians, and data engineers; communicate results clearly.
