Job summary

Searchland is seeking a Senior Data QA Engineer to own the accuracy and reliability of its growing property data platform. You’ll design data quality checks, anomaly detection, and monitoring across data pipelines, and own production scraping infrastructure with Playwright and anti-bot tooling.

You will work with Python, SQL, dbt, and BigQuery to diagnose root causes and raise the data quality bar. This hybrid role is based in London with flexible working arrangements and a strong focus on

Qualifications

• Strong Python and SQL experience with data pipelines.
• Experience designing data quality checks including validation and anomaly detection.
• Hands-on with dbt and BigQuery.
• Experience running production web scraping at scale (Playwright) and anti-bot approaches.

Responsibilities

• Design and build data quality checks - validation, anomaly detection, freshness and coverage monitoring across core data pipelines.
• Own and improve production web scraping infrastructure and monitoring.
• Build and maintain data orchestration workflows (Dagster or similar).
• Develop internal QA tools using AI-assisted coding tools to speed up investigations.
• Diagnose root causes using Python, SQL, dbt, and BigQuery.
