Job summary

Searchland is hiring a Senior Data QA Engineer to own data accuracy and reliability for our property intelligence platform. You will harden validation and anomaly detection, keep scrapers healthy, and ship practical tooling to improve team efficiency.

Applicants should excel in Python/SQL, dbt, and BigQuery, with experience in Playwright-based scraping, data orchestration (Dagster), and AI-assisted coding. Hybrid work model with 1–2 days in the London office.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and SQL with hands-on experience with dbt and BigQuery.
• Experience designing data quality checks - validation, anomaly detection, freshness and coverage monitoring.
• Experience running production web scraping at scale with Playwright, proxies, anti-bot evasion and monitoring scraper health.

Responsibilities

• Design and build data quality checks across core data pipelines.
• Own and improve production web scraping infrastructure and monitor health.
• Build and maintain data orchestration workflows with Dagster or similar.
• Develop internal QA tools including AI-assisted coding support.
• Diagnose root causes using Python, SQL, dbt and BigQuery.
• Collaborate with data and engineering teams to raise quality bar.
