Job summary

Randstad Technologies Recruitment is seeking an experienced Lead Data Quality & Platform Engineer in London to shape, govern, and optimise core data environments for a high-profile enterprise client. You will define how data flows across heterogeneous sources, establish durable data quality controls, map end-to-end lineage and ensure datasets are reliable, auditable, and performance-tuned.

You will design, build, and maintain DQ controls, craft complex SQL transformations, and map data flows

Qualifications

• Prior consultancy or banking industry experience.
• Strong Data Engineering background.
• SQL / Programming, Data Warehousing.
• Data Governance & Root-Cause Analysis.
• Leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain preventive, detective, and corrective DQ controls (profiling, rule definition, thresholding, automated alerting, and root-cause remediation).
• Craft complex SQL transformations, optimize query performance, handle advanced window functions, and design conformed dimensional models for curated platform layers.
• Map end-to-end data flows from ingestion to serving, defining upstream/downstream contracts and data ownership boundaries.
• Architect robust batch and streaming pipelines capable of handling CDC concepts, late-arriving data, incremental loads, and rerun safety.
• Drive pipeline health monitoring, logging-driven diagnoses, and automated reconciliation checks to triage and remediate issues when data products break.
• Establish pragmatic operating frameworks for DQ issue intake, prioritization, validation, and sustainment.
