Job summary

Searchland is a high-growth prop-tech SaaS company delivering real-time property data to developers, agents and planners. We seek a Senior Data QA Engineer to own data accuracy, recency and reliability across our expansive UK datasets and pipelines.

You will harden validation, improve anomaly detection, keep scrapers healthy, and ship practical tooling to empower the team. This role blends data, engineering and AI-assisted coding to raise our quality bar.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and SQL with hands-on experience with dbt and BigQuery.
• Track record designing data quality checks - validation, anomaly detection, freshness and coverage monitoring.
• Experience running production web scraping at scale - Playwright, proxies, anti-bot evasion, and monitoring scraper health.

Responsibilities

• Design and build data quality checks - validation, anomaly detection, freshness and coverage monitoring across data pipelines.
• Own and improve production web scraping infrastructure and keep scraper health visible and actionable.
• Build and maintain data orchestration workflows that are reliable and easy to debug.
• Develop fast, pragmatic internal QA tools using AI-assisted coding tools to move quickly.
• Work across Python, SQL, dbt and BigQuery to diagnose root causes, not just symptoms.
• Get comfortable working in TypeScript/Node where internal tooling calls for it.
• Partner across data and engineering to raise the overall quality bar.
