Job summary

FactSet in London is seeking a Vice President, Data Privacy & Technology Counsel to lead the privacy program for the EMEA region and support global initiatives. The role partners with Compliance, Information Security, Product, and Engineering to enable responsible innovation while navigating a fast-regulatory environment.

You will advise on AI/ML governance, data terms, and cross-border transfers, reporting to the Associate General Counsel, in a hybrid London-based setting.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer admitted to practice in England & Wales (or equivalent) in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in data privacy and technology law.
• Deep expertise in UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and the Data Protection Act 2018, with knowledge of CCPA.
• Strong grounding in technology law including AI/ML governance, cloud computing, SaaS, and data licensing.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional, cross‑jurisdictional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the global privacy program - design, lead, and mature policy framework across regions.
• Advise on legal/regulatory implications of AI and ML; shape responsible-AI governance.
• Negotiate and standardize data privacy and technology terms in agreements.
• Direct privacy reviews, DPIAs, and data mapping; advise Cybersecurity Crisis Management team.
• Engage regulators, monitor developments, and lead privacy training and rights processes.
