Job summary

Sky is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to lead data protection and privacy across the group, with a focus on AI adoption and governance. You will advise on UK GDPR, EU GDPR, ePrivacy and related laws, turning complex requirements into practical, operational guidance.

This role collaborates with Legal, Data Protection Operations, Cyber, Technology and Sky Data to ensure compliant data use while enabling innovation.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with significant post-qualification experience advising on UK and EU data protection matters.
• Proven track record advising on AI, ML and data use, applying GDPR and privacy by design principles.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and shaping strategic privacy decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality legal advice on UK GDPR, EU GDPR, ePrivacy and AI-related privacy issues for Sky's data.
• Lead or support on complex, high-risk regulatory matters and product initiatives.
• Advise on DPIAs, LIAs, data sharing, international transfers, and high-risk processing.
