Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the data engineering team, building a hyper-scale data lake to surface analytics, threat insights, and operational telemetry for internal and external customers.

You will work primarily with Java microservices, Spark/Scala processing, Flink, and Kubernetes on AWS, delivering fault-tolerant pipelines and scalable data platforms across petabytes of data.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in backend/cloud and data platform roles.
• 5+ years building data platforms with Spark, Flink, or Iceberg (or similar on GCP).
• 5+ years programming in Java, Scala, or Kotlin.
• Proven end-to-end feature/product ownership with vague specs.
• Experience with large-scale data/event pipelines and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Write fault-tolerant Java within Spark for pipeline insights.
• Design and maintain ultra-high-scale data platforms handling petabytes.
• Participate in technical reviews and develop new features.
• Improve efficiency and reduce latency of high-performance services.
• Research new ways to query data for stakeholders and customers.
