Job summary

Zeta Global is seeking a Senior Compute Platform Engineer on the Data Platform team to build and run the data infrastructure powering Zeta's platform, including the lakehouse.

You will work on scalable data processing, enabling data scientists and engineers to focus on business problems rather than infrastructure. The role collaborates with teams in San Francisco and Berlin to grow the stack and deliver reliable, cost-efficient pipelines.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience required.
• Degree in CS/SE/Physics/Math or related field.
• 2+ years in Scala or JVM languages; Spark experience.
• Kubernetes and AWS knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and implement new features in the framework and services.
• Collaborate with data scientists to improve productivity with our framework.
• Identify and implement computational improvements.
• Contribute patches to open-source projects in Spark, Iceberg, Hadoop, Airflow.
• Act as an expert on Spark and Scala.
• Mentor engineers and raise quality across the team.
