Job summary

EXL is seeking a Senior Data Modeller in London to design and maintain enterprise data models for analytics, AI and BI initiatives. You will translate business requirements into scalable data solutions, ensure governance and optimise performance across the organisation.

The role requires 7–10 years in data modelling/architecture, strong SQL and experience with data warehouses, lakes and NoSQL. Hybrid working and a permanent contract are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise data modelling: conceptual, logical and physical models.
• Strong SQL skills including scripting.
• Designing data models for data warehouses, data lakes, ODS and data marts.
• Experience with major DBs and big data platforms (Oracle, PostgreSQL, Redshift, Snowflake).
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management and naming conventions.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into scalable data models across enterprise systems.
• Develop and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models.
• Define source-to-target mappings and data strategies.
• Collaborate with architecture, development and business teams to ensure governance and standards.
• Provide guidance on data modelling practices and data integration approaches.
• Mentor junior team members and support testing and data validation.
