Job summary

AXA UK is seeking a Lead Data Modeller to head the data modelling function, driving enterprise data models from concept to implementation. You will provide technical leadership, design scalable models, and set standards across onshore and offshore teams.

You will translate business needs into robust metadata aligned with architectural standards, collaborate with analysts, architects and engineers, and ensure data models integrate with tools like Collibra or Erwin.

Qualifications

• Expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Proven experience in a technical leadership role supervising data professionals.
• Familiarity with data modelling tools such as Erwin or similar.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical authority on data modelling and set best practices across teams.
• Design and develop high-level data models for enterprise domains.
• Mentor and review work of onshore and offshore Data Modeller teams.
• Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects and data engineers to translate needs into models.
• Conduct data analysis and profiling to optimise models.
• Ensure models integrate with metadata tools like Collibra or Erwin and maintain a data catalogue.
