Job summary

EXL is seeking a Senior Data Modeller in the UK to design and maintain enterprise data models enabling analytics, reporting, AI and BI initiatives. You will translate complex requirements into scalable data solutions, ensure governance and optimise performance across the organisation.

You will collaborate with business analysts, developers and architects to define data strategies, source-to-target mappings and data standards, while driving improvements and reusable data assets in a hybrid,

Qualifications

• 7–10 years implementing data models with tools like Erwin/ERStudio/PowerDesigner
• 8+ years data architecture/modelling experience
• 5–7 years management experience
• 5–7 years consulting experience preferred
• Experience with dimensional data models
• Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred
• Cloud experience with Azure/AWS/GCP; Snowflake preferred
• Data analysis and profiling experience
• Strong data warehousing and OLTP integration experience
• Strong SQL skills; scripting preferred
• Experience with RDS/Redshift/Snowflake/Hadoop/NoSQL platforms
• Knowledge of enterprise data standards and metadata management

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into scalable data models.
• Design, develop and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models.
• Define data strategies and source-to-target mappings.
• Develop and maintain metadata and data dictionaries.
• Improve data architecture and performance.
• Promote data modelling standards and best practices.
• Mentor junior team members and promote best practices across teams.
• Review designs for scalability, maintainability and performance.
