Job summary

Royal London is seeking a Senior Data Modeller to join the Core Engineering Team within the Group Data & AI Office in Glasgow. You will analyse data, integrate it with existing models and help maintain naming standards while supporting metadata and source-to-target mappings.

This role sits on a cloud-based Data Platform and modern data products that enable analytics, reporting and AI. The role emphasizes collaboration with third parties, agile delivery, and governance, with a hybrid working

Qualifications

• Strong data analysis, mapping and modelling skills with enterprise data architecture understanding.
• Specialist knowledge of domain-based data modelling and complex source-to-target mappings.
• Experience delivering data analysis and modelling for complex programmes in multi-vendor environments.
• Good knowledge of data integration, engineering and warehousing concepts.
• Experience using data modelling tools such as ER/Studio, Erwin or Sparx EA.
• Knowledge of cloud data & analytics services on Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Data Factory).
• Understanding of ETL concepts including data cleansing, CDC, mapping, extraction, transformation and loading.
• Ability to present to senior stakeholders and governance forums.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and understand data, integrate it with existing data models and data products.
• Maintain clear modelling and naming standards; support metadata management.
• Create source-to-target mapping documentation using industry-standard tools.
• Support the EDM on our cloud-based Enterprise Data Platform and expand data products.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across technical and governance forums.
