Job summary

Croud is seeking a Senior Data and ML Engineer to help drive data engineering solutions across client projects and the agency's products. The role sits in the Data Engineering team reporting to the Head of Data Engineering, with a focus on delivering revenue-generating data solutions and advancing data governance.

You will work on production data pipelines, ML/GenAI deployments, and modern cloud data warehousing, collaborating with clients and internal teams in a hybrid setup from Shrewsbury.

Qualifications

• Proactive and self-motivated with initiative.
• Excellent Python, SQL and database design skills.
• Proficiency with cloud-based data warehousing technologies (GCP/BigQuery).
• Hands-on experience building production data pipelines using serverless tech.
• Strong software engineering practices: Docker, Terraform, CI/CD.
• Practical data science experience including ML models and MLOps.

Responsibilities

• Support Head of Data Engineering in delivering data engineering solutions and technical decision-making.
• Own project implementation delivering client solutions with junior team members.
• Mentor team on data, software engineering and data security best practices.
• Develop and maintain data integrations, warehousing, automation tasks.
• Communicate progress and details with clients and stakeholders.
• Contribute to DataOps governance, policies, and standards.
