Job summary

Quotient Therapeutics seeks a Senior Engineer in Data Infrastructure to design and evolve cloud, data and AI infrastructure underpinning its genomics-first drug discovery platform.

You will lead cross-system architecture across AWS, data platforms and AI workloads, mentoring cloud and data engineers and shaping reusable patterns. This hybrid role is based at the Chesterford Research Campus near Cambridge, with on-site work three days per week and UK work permission required.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience designing, building and operating production cloud or data infrastructure (7+ years).
• Advanced hands-on experience with AWS and ownership of multiple production systems.
• Strong infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, containerised workloads and cloud networking.
• Strong Python and Linux software engineering skills including testing and automation.
• Experience with data-intensive life-science systems and reproducibility considerations.
• Experience enabling AI/ML workloads in cloud environments.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives with clear trade-offs.
• Ability to mentor engineers and communicate architecture to technical and scientific stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and evolution of AWS-based infrastructure for cloud services, data platforms and AI/ML workloads.
• Design and implement reusable infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD and environment-management patterns.
• Own cross-cutting decisions for observability, IAM, networking and data lifecycle management.
• Partner with Cloud and Data Engineers to deliver integrated solutions and mentor through design reviews and incident responses.
• Translate model development and data needs into secure, reproducible platform capabilities.
• Diagnose and resolve complex failures across infrastructure, data pipelines and AI workloads.
• Set engineering standards for testing, docs, release management, and security.
• Evaluate new technologies and shape the infrastructure roadmap with leadership.
