Job summary

Bupa is seeking a Senior Data Governance Analyst to embed governance across UK product squads and ensure safe data use. You will champion governance principles, maintain data assets, and collaborate across IT and business units.

The role involves driving policy adoption, working with platforms like Snowflake and Power BI, and mentoring junior team members in a hybrid shift, with 2 days a month in office at multiple UK locations.

Qualifications

• Proven senior data analytics experience in regulated environments.
• Deep knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influence skills.
• Technical expertise in Snowflake, SQL, Power BI; Azure DevOps/Confluence familiarity.
• Understanding GDPR and risk management.
• Experience with metadata management, data quality tooling, and MDM.
• Familiarity with Dynamics CRM is favourable.
• Experience with Product Operating Model approaches.
• Certifications such as DCAM or CDMP desirable.

Responsibilities

• Establish and continuously improve data governance frameworks, policies, and controls.
• Serve as SME for Data Governance within product squads.
• Advise senior leaders on governance strategy, compliance, and risk.
• Lead creation of data dictionaries, catalogues, lineage, metadata repositories.
• Promote data literacy through education programmes.
• Drive governance integration with platforms like Dynamics CRM, Snowflake, Power BI.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with robust controls and audits.
• Align governance initiatives with organizational priorities.
• Represent governance in forums on data strategy and digital transformation.
• Maintain governance documentation and support knowledge management.
• Collaborate with Data Office to define roles and support.
• Mentor junior governance staff.
