Job summary

Bupa, a leading health insurer and provider, is seeking a Senior Data Governance Analyst to embed governance across product squads in the UK. This role focuses on robust guardrails for data use and will work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant, trusted data across platforms.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in data governance, stakeholder management, and platform knowledge (Snowflake, SQL, Power BI).

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Data Analyst, ideally in a complex, regulated environments.
• Deep knowledge of data management principles, governance frameworks, and industry best practices.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to drive cultural change around data.
• Strong technical expertise in Snowflake, SQL, Power BI, and familiarity with Azure DevOps, Confluence.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g. GDPR) and risk management.
• Experience with metadata management, data quality tooling, and MDM platforms.
• Familiarity with Dynamics CRM or equivalent technology is favourable.
• Experience with Product Operating Model approaches is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as DCAM, CDMP, highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Implement and evolve governance frameworks across data domains.
• Act as Product Team SME for Data Governance.
• Advise senior leaders on governance strategy, compliance, and risk.
• Develop governance assets: data dictionaries, catalogs, lineage, metadata repositories.
• Promote data literacy with education programs.
• Integrate governance with platforms like Dynamics CRM, Snowflake, Power BI.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and audit readiness.
• Align governance initiatives with organisational goals.
• Represent governance in enterprise architecture and data strategy forums.
• Maintain documentation and knowledge management.
• Foster collaboration with Data Office teams.
• Mentor junior professionals.
