Job summary

Omnicom Media in London is seeking a Senior Manager for Data Engineering to own and extend our config-driven data platform, delivering scalable ELT pipelines from ingestion to analytics-ready tables in BigQuery. You will build dbt models, maintain GCP infrastructure, and mentor a team of data engineers.

Required: strong dbt, Python, SQL, and GCP experience; Terraform and data modelling knowledge; collaborative with BI teams. Hybrid role in London with strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with dbt including macros, Jinja templates, incremental models, seeds, and tests.
• Proficient in Python 3.11+ for CLI tools and automation.
• Proficient in SQL, BigQuery dialect.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform services (BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud Scheduler).
• Experience with Terraform for IaC.
• Solid data modeling knowledge (star schema, dimensions).
• Git with PRs and CI/CD (Cloud Build).

Responsibilities

• Own and extend end-to-end data pipeline from Cloud Function ingestion to dbt transformations and analytics-ready tables in BigQuery.
• Develop and maintain dbt macros, Jinja templates, and platform YAML definitions to generate models across 26+ ad platforms.
• Manage and improve GCP infrastructure via Terraform.
• Build and maintain Python CLI tooling for onboarding, config compilation, and pipeline execution.
• Mentor data engineers, enforce DataOps practices, code reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and BI teams to maximize value from data models.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and documentation.
