Job summary

The Very Group is seeking an experienced data leader to shape and scale our data engineering organisation. You will lead multiple Data Engineering Managers, BI Engineering Managers and Lead Engineers, guiding a team of around 40 engineers and analysts.

You will set technical direction, drive platform modernisation, and collaborate with Architecture, Product and Technology leaders to turn data into trusted business value.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large-scale data engineering teams.
• Proven track record delivering scalable data platforms and pipelines.
• Strong stakeholder management and senior-level influence.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the data engineering strategy.
• Lead Data Eng Managers, BI Eng Managers and Lead Engineers.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Product and Technology leaders to drive platform evolution.
