YLD is building a data-first practice in London, seeking a senior data engineer/lead who can be the credible voice in front of clients and prospects. You will blend hands-on delivery with strategic shaping of engagements while growing the data capability in the business.

You’ll sit with leadership, shape proposals, and guide projects, mentoring engineers, establishing standards, and building YLD’s reputation through events, writing, and external activity.

Qualifications

• Consulting or agency experience is a strong plus, with client exposure.
• Technical leadership: led a team or function.
• Comfort presenting to senior client stakeholders.
• Able to translate engineering constraints into business terms.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on data engineering work across pipelines, models, and infra.
• Lead client meetings as technical authority on data.
• Define internal standards for data work and code reviews.
• Mentor data engineers and grow the practice.
