Job summary

Speak to Kit is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a permanent, full-time role. The position is primarily remote with ad hoc travel to client sites ~2–4 times per month. A London office is available for those who prefer a base to work from.

Salary ranges from £80,000 to £100,000 depending on experience. You will design and run cloud-native data pipelines, work across the modern data stack, implement robust CI/CD, and collaborate with client stakeholders in an agile environment while contributing

Qualifications

• Production-grade Python for ETL and data manipulation.
• Strong SQL with complex analytics queries and performance tuning.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform and its data tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-native data pipelines and platforms.
• Work across the modern data stack and adapt to client environments.
• Apply software engineering fundamentals: testing, CI/CD, Git, and code reviews.
• Build and run scheduled ETL/ELT pipelines with monitoring and orchestration.
• Design and implement cloud solutions with attention to cost, scale, reliability, security, and observability.
• Implement dimensional and analytics-ready schemas and explain trade-offs.
• Manage client stakeholders and set expectations across engagements.
• Contribute to internal data engineering practice and AI offerings.
• Work in agile scrum teams across client projects.
