Job summary

Kargo is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to build and scale the data infrastructure powering our targeting, identity, and measurement capabilities. This remote role is based in London, UK, allowing you to contribute to data pipelines, CI/CD, and architecture decisions that move fast at scale.

You will own ETL/ELT pipelines, integrate new data sources, implement privacy-aware methods, and collaborate with engineering to ensure reliable data products across AWS, EKS, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and Spark expertise for large-scale data pipelines.
• Hands-on Airflow orchestration and Iceberg table management at scale.
• Extensive AWS experience including EKS, Docker, Kubernetes; ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build, optimize, and operate core ETL/ELT pipelines with defined SLAs.
• Integrate new data sources end-to-end to support KPI-driven targeting and measurement.
• Stand up and maintain ArgoCD-based CI/CD pipelines to accelerate velocity.
• Implement privacy-conscious identity and targeting methods complying with GDPR/CCPA.
• Own infrastructure deployment and scaling across AWS, EKS, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Write documentation and runbooks to enable quick onboarding.
• Participate in design sessions and clearly communicate decisions to stakeholders.
