Job summary

Inchcape Shipping Services seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design, build and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines for its central platforms. You will curate bronze/silver/gold datasets, ensure data quality and enable self-service analytics across the business.

The role involves working with MS Fabric Dataflows Gen, Spark notebooks and Delta Lake, collaborating with data architects and BAs, while delivering scalable, economical data solutions for AI-driven strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline.
• Azure Data Engineering Certification is required.
• Experience with SQL, Python and/ or Scala in data engineering roles.
• Proficiency with Delta Lake and Lakehouse architectures.
• Strong data quality, governance and observability skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain data ingestion pipelines using MS Fabric Platform and Delta Lake.
• Ensure data quality, governance, lineage and security controls are implemented.
• Collaborate with data architects, modelers and engineers to deliver reusable data assets.
• Optimize performance of Fabric, Spark, SQL workloads with cost awareness.
• Produce documentation, templates and knowledge sharing materials.
