Job summary

Opencast data engineers help organisations transform how they manage, use and learn from data. The work ranges from building modern lakehouse and warehouse platforms in Microsoft Fabric to modernising legacy environments, migrating complex workloads and improving the quality, governance and reliability of critical data services.

This role offers on-site UK work with some home office days, mentoring and technical leadership, and opportunities to influence engineering standards as our capability

Qualifications

• Must hold active SC clearance or be willing to undergo clearance.
• Willingness to travel across the UK on a regular basis.
• Strong data engineering and platform design experience.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, recruit and provide technical leadership within projects.
• Design and build lakehouse/warehouse platforms using modern data tech.
• Modernise legacy environments, migrate workloads and improve governance.
• Collaborate with clients and architects to influence engineering standards.
