Job summary

Solvex Solutions is seeking a data engineering professional to design and build scalable data models and distributed ETL pipelines. You will drive data features by partnering with stakeholders and champion DataOps principles across projects.

As part of a fast-paced, collaborative team, you will work with Google BigQuery, Python, SQL and DBT, mentoring peers and shaping architecture while ensuring data governance and reliability across the platform.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and building large-scale data models and pipelines for complex data.
• Advanced SQL for high-performance data transformation and analytics on large datasets.
• Strong data engineering practices, CI/CD, and testing across teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience delivering cloud ETL and data warehousing solutions, with DBT in GCP environments.
• Knowledge of Snowflake, Iceberg and Lakehouse architectures and data flow.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to translate business needs into data solutions.

• Build scalable data solutions by designing data models and distributed ETL pipelines.
• Deliver impactful data features by collaborating with stakeholders across business areas.
• Champion DataOps and best practices across projects and teams.
• Tackle real-world data challenges using Google BigQuery, Python, SQL, DBT, and related tools.
• Lead and mentor team members, deputising for the Engineering Manager when needed.
• Collaborate in Agile squads across GST workstreams to support delivery.
• Shape the future of data at scale by aligning with governance and architecture standards.
• Onboard data feeds and strengthen collaboration with upstream systems.
