Job summary

Prize Placements is recruiting a Senior Data Engineer in a hybrid role based in the UK. The position focuses on implementing data pipelines using MS Fabric, SQL and Python to support data extraction, modelling and reporting for business insights.

You will collaborate with Engineering Operations and wider teams to design effective ingestion methods, build data warehouses, and deliver actionable analytics through BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in designing and implementing data pipelines.
• Strong SQL and Python skills with MS Fabric experience.
• Experience with modern data stack components (data warehouse, BI tools).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, Snowflake).

Responsibilities

• Understand data pipeline requirements with Engineering Operations.
• Collaborate to design data ingestion and extraction methods.
• Build and optimize data pipelines from ETL/ELT to warehouse and analytics envs.
• Deliver data reporting and visualisations to the business.
• Support teams by improving data products and deliverables.
• Work with version control and DevOps practices for data models.
