Job summary

Cloudflare is hiring an experienced Data Engineer in Bengaluru to scale internal data products and empower teams across the company. You will design end-to-end data pipelines, build scalable data solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-enabled capabilities.

You will work with Go, Scala, and SQL, shaping requirements, implementing features, and ensuring data quality across the stack, while partnering with global data teams to drive governance and reliability.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or software engineering with production data systems.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or JVM-based languages; building high-quality services and pipelines.
• Deep knowledge of SQL and data modeling with relational, analytical, or vector databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/ClickHouse).
• Experience building scalable, observable data pipelines with focus on data quality and operational best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core data pipelines and services in Go and Scala with a focus on scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and product stakeholders to design data solutions for strategic initiatives.
• Evolve data platform architecture to improve scalability, reliability, observability, and data correctness.
• Build and curate high-quality, richly contextual datasets powering internal products and AI features.
• Develop an understanding of the data ecosystem and collaborate with global data teams to improve ingestion, quality, and governance.
• Lead by example through design reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.
