Job summary

SF Partners in Lancashire is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to advance our Microsoft Fabric platform. You will design and optimise data pipelines, build reusable models and collaborate with BI, analytics and software teams to unlock insights and automate reporting.

This hybrid role offers a £70,000-£80,000 salary, a 36.25-hour week, flexible hours and healthcare benefits, with one office day per week in Lancashire.

Qualifications

• Microsoft Fabric experience is essential for building pipelines and working with data storage and transformation.
• Strong SQL, Python and data modelling skills are required, with knowledge of lakehouse/warehouse approaches.
• Experience preparing data for Power BI and delivering reliable data pipelines is expected.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve Fabric pipelines and notebooks.
• Create reusable data models and reliable ingestion across APIs/databases.
• Use SQL and Python to automate processing and reduce manual work.
• Structure and optimise data for Power BI.
• Improve data quality and establish engineering practices for the team.
