Job summary

Recruit with Purpose is hiring a Senior Data Engineer in Leeds with hybrid working. You’ll design and implement data pipelines, leverage Microsoft Fabric and Lakehouse patterns, and guide modernization across the data platform. You’ll work closely with stakeholders and mentor peers in a growing housing-sector analytics team.

The role emphasizes hands-on delivery with strategic influence, enabling scalable data solutions and robust engineering practices in a cloud-first environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric/Azure data stack.
• Design, build and optimize data pipelines and integrations.
• Strong SQL and PySpark, Spark or similar.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and optimizing data pipelines and integrations.
• Developing solutions within the Microsoft Fabric environment.
• Working with Lakehouse architecture and modern data engineering patterns.
• Establishing standards around development, testing, automation and CI/CD.
• Supporting migration of data solutions to a modern cloud environment.
• Translating requirements from stakeholders into practical technical solutions.
• Providing technical guidance and supporting other engineers.
• Taking ownership of complex data engineering problems.
• Contributing to ongoing development of the data platform and standards.
