Job summary

Monks is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and evolve scalable data solutions for digital marketing use cases. You will deliver end-to-end data engineering, from discovery to deployment, enabling reporting, measurement, and analytics across DSPs, ad servers, and third-party sources.

You will own dbt models, cross-platform metric allocation, and ingestion pipelines, while advancing data quality and dataOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of analytics, marketing analytics, and related experience.
• Hands-on SQL and Python with cloud products.
• Experience building data pipelines using ETL/ELT tools.
• Familiarity with Agile and DataOps practices.
• Experience with media/advertising data is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain dbt models across DSPs, ad servers, and third-party platforms; reconcile granularity differences.
• Develop cross-platform metric allocation for monthly reporting and attribution use cases.
• Build ingestion pipelines from diverse sources including cloud transfers and vendor APIs; ensure data quality.
• Own and evolve GCP infrastructure using Terraform; partner with platform teams on deployment standards.
• Lead migration of legacy ingestion to scalable solutions built on Dataflow and Cloud Run.
• Configure observability and alerting across the stack using Cloud Monitoring and Terraform.
