Job summary

Omd, within Omnicom Media's Data and Technology team, is seeking a data engineer to contribute to a config-driven ELT platform that ingests and transforms paid media data across 26+ ad platforms. You will build and maintain dbt-powered pipelines from ingestion to marts, collaborating with analysts and BI teams to ensure scalable, high-quality data.

The role requires strong dbt, Python, SQL skills, cloud platform experience (GCP preferred), and familiarity with Git and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Experience with dbt - writing models, using Jinja basics, running tests and seeds.
• Good knowledge of Python - writing scripts, Pandas, reading codebases.
• Expert SQL knowledge - joins, aggregations, window functions.
• Cloud platform experience (GCP preferred; AWS/Azure also relevant).
• Familiar with Git and basic CI/CD concepts.
• Data modelling concepts (tables, views, star schema).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to end-to-end data pipelines from ingestion to marts.
• Write and update dbt models, macros, and Jinja templates.
• Add new platform integrations using YAML definitions and Python functions.
• Contribute to Python CLI tooling for onboarding and orchestration.
• Maintain GCP infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Write and maintain tests and collaborate with BI teams for reporting needs.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to documentation.
