Job summary

Scott Logic is hiring Data Engineers to work with leading UK clients and government departments. These hands-on, client-facing roles focus on building data platforms and pipelines, enabling data analytics, ML training, and BI reporting.

Some time on-site with clients in London area will be required. You will apply software engineering discipline to data projects, combine cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) with modern tools, and collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with data engineering, data pipelines, and analytical data querying/reporting.
• Proficiency with Python, Spark, SQL, and PowerBI for data insights.
• Background in software engineering, including Front End tech like JavaScript.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP) and CI/CD tooling.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills; problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data platforms and pipelines to ingest, transform and query analytical data.
• Collaborate with clients and teams, providing hands-on data engineering leadership.
• Engage in on-site work with London-area clients on a case-by-case basis when required.
• Contribute to data lake/warehouse architectures and BI/reporting solutions.
