Job summary

Scott Logic seeks an experienced Data Engineer to help clients build data platforms and pipelines, enabling analytics, data science and ML. This is hands-on, client‑facing work with occasional on-site visits to the London area.

You’ll apply software engineering discipline to well‑structured, scalable systems, collaborate across teams, and grow in a technology‑agnostic environment using Python, Spark, SQL, PySpark and PowerBI.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern data engineering tools and reporting
• Proficient in Python, Spark, SQL, PySpark, PowerBI
• Background in software engineering including front-end technologies like JavaScript
• Strong problem-solving and collaborative approach
• Ability to design well-structured, maintainable systems

Responsibilities

• Hands-on data engineering work with data pipelines and analytics platforms.
• Lead client engagements and collaborate with teams to design scalable data solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
• Occasional on-site work with London-area clients.
