Job summary

Intellectual Property Office is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Newport to strengthen our Digital, Data and Technology team. You will deliver robust data services, develop ETL layers, and optimise data pipelines while collaborating with Data Management and Business Intelligence teams to improve data accessibility across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks and Python for data engineering tasks.
• Ability to design, code, test and document simple programs or scripts.
• Experience cleansing, preparing and formatting data sets.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for data enhancements and executing plans using current toolkit.
• Contribute to development of a world class Data Engineering capability for IPO IT & Data.
• Collaborate with Data Management and BI teams to improve data access and usability.
• Build IPO data pipelines and own data engineering artefacts.
• Move data internally and externally to IPO.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand user groups and design decisions.
• Implement data engineering solutions across projects to solve complex business problems.
• Support the organisation's data vision in line with corporate goals.
