Job summary

Women in Data is partnering with DWP Digital to hire a Senior Data Engineer in Birmingham. You will lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable data solutions, working with stakeholders across government to turn data into trusted management information.

You’ll work with Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI/AIDP) and OTBI, develop a portfolio of ETL pipelines, mentor engineers and shape engineering standards within the Synergy Shared Services Hub.

Qualifications

• Strong experience leading design and delivery of complex data solutions that are resilient, scalable and future proof.
• Advanced SQL and Python (Spark context) with knowledge of Oracle Fusion reporting technologies (FDI/AIDP and OTBI).
• Ability to lead development of ETL pipelines across large data volumes with effective delegation.
• Experience identifying and resolving complex data, tooling and platform problems; coaching the team.
• Ability to translate complex customer requirements into delivery design for data processing.
• Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders, translating needs into team priorities.

Responsibilities

• Join the Synergy Shared Services Hub at the forefront of Civil Service transformation and provide technical leadership for data solutions.
• Lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable reporting data solutions across government stakeholders.
• Develop data pipelines, integrations, datasets and reporting products enabling trusted MI, BI and analytics.
• Work with Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI/AIDP), OTBI and cloud technologies to support decision-making.
• Mentor colleagues and shape the future direction of data engineering capability within the organisation.
