ev.energy is scaling a data-centric architecture to power a world-leading EV-focused VPP. We seek a Senior Data Engineer to own warehousing design and end-to-end pipelines, from ingestion to analytics and payouts, in a fast-moving, AI-first environment.

The role emphasizes building scalable data pipelines, leading data-platform architecture, and ensuring data quality for critical driver incentives and telematics use cases, across a modern stack including Snowflake, dbt, and Fivetran.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering or backend with data focus.
• Proficient with Snowflake, dbt, Python and SQL; strong data modeling.
• Own end-to-end data pipelines and production-grade systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own scalable data pipelines across the modern data stack (Fivetran, Snowflake, dbt) to ingestion, warehousing and delivery.
• Lead architectural decisions across the data platform — infrastructure like OLake → Iceberg → Snowflake pipeline.
• Own data quality, lineage, and observability: freshness, completeness, schema-drift and SLAs.
• Partner with engineering and analysts on projects like telematics accuracy and driver incentive reporting.
• Model data for both operational and analytical use cases, and build dbt layers (staging/intermediate/mart).
