Job summary

The Very Group is seeking a hands-on senior data engineer to help transform our data landscape. You’ll shape how we build scalable pipelines, scale our cloud data platform, and influence engineering standards across the team.

You’ll collaborate with product, platform and engineering teams to deliver measurable outcomes and mentor others as we modernise our data capabilities to power millions of customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing and delivering production-grade data solutions.
• Proficient in Teradata utilities and related data tooling.
• Experience with cloud technologies, AWS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building scalable, reliable data pipelines that power key business decisions
• Shaping our cloud-based data platform, improving performance, cost, and usability
• Taking ownership of solutions from idea through to production and beyond
• Driving improvements in how we build, deploy and monitor data products
• Collaborating with product, platform and engineering teams to deliver meaningful outcomes
• Coaching and mentoring other engineers to grow and succeed
