Job summary

PRS (Phoenix Resourcing Services) is seeking an experienced Data Centre – Technical Manager for its East London/Docklands campus. You will lead the site engineering team, ensuring 100% availability of critical systems and driving safety, efficiency, and compliance across all electrical and mechanical infrastructure.

The role requires an Electrician with 18th Edition, data centre experience, and strong knowledge of UPS, HVAC, and BMS systems.

Qualifications

Qualified Electrician with 18th Edition certification.
Experience managing critical environments or data centres.
Strong knowledge of UPS, standby power and critical HVAC/cooling systems.
Excellent communication, leadership and decision-making skills.
Experience with safety compliance, permits-to-work and risk assessments.
IOSH or equivalent safety management certification.
Budgeting experience for maintenance delivery.
Desirable: Water hygiene (L8), BMS, HVAC systems, system integration and handover.

Responsibilities

Lead, develop and mentor the site engineering team for critical maintenance and operations.
Ensure continuous operation of all business-critical systems with high availability.
Manage planned and reactive maintenance balancing cost and performance.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers and site management.
Support health & safety procedures and statutory regulations.
Audit and maintain technical documentation (switching schedules, SOPs, risk assessments).
Lead statutory compliance maintenance and auditable records.
