Job summary

Valtech in Paris is seeking a Senior Data Architect focused on Snowflake & Cortex AI to lead data architecture engagements for global enterprise clients. You will guide data strategy, design scalable architectures, and champion AI‑augmented engineering practices.

You will act as a trusted advisor, delivering governance playbooks and capability-building through workshops, while mentoring client teams in modern data practices. This permanent role offers hybrid work with international opportunities.

Qualifications

• +10 years of experience in data engineering or data architecture, with at least 5 years in client-facing consulting.
• Expert-level mastery of Snowflake: architecture, performance tuning, access controls, Cortex AI features.
• Lead complex data transformation programmes from design through delivery.
• Strong experience with dbt, Fivetran, Airflow.
• Deep knowledge of data modelling techniques & modern data stack.
• Excellent communication in French and English (C1).
• Demonstrated ability to build trust with clients and drive change.

Responsibilities

• Lead data architecture engagements as the primary client-facing consultant, owning relationships with stakeholders.
• Define and communicate data strategies aligned with client objectives from framing to exec presentation.
• Facilitate workshops and co-create transformation roadmaps with client teams.
• Deliver architecture blueprints, AI-readiness assessments, governance playbooks.
• Coach client data engineers on modern data practices and Snowflake Cortex capabilities.
• Escalate complex architectural decisions, aligning business, IT and data teams.
• Design and implement enterprise Snowflake architectures (data warehouse, data lakehouse, data mesh).
• Lead Snowflake Cortex adoption for AI-native use cases (LLM pipelines, agents).
