Job summary

Valtech in Bengaluru is hiring a Data Engineer to design scalable data architectures and pipelines across cloud platforms. You’ll work on ETL/ELT, data modeling, and ensuring data quality while collaborating with data scientists, analysts and client teams.

The role requires 3+ years in data engineering, strong Python/Scala skills, and experience with Spark, Kafka and Airflow in an Agile consulting environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of data engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or Scala/Java.
• Experience with SQL and database technologies (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Hands-on experience with data processing frameworks: Apache Spark, Hadoop ecosystem.
• Kafka for streaming data; Airflow for workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data architectures and pipelines.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes for batch and real-time data processing.
• Develop data models and schemas for analytics and reporting.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across data systems.
