Job summary

PACT Solutions is seeking a Senior Data Architect to shape data architecture, platform and governance foundations for higher education partners across the UK. You will define target architectures, roadmaps, and ensure secure, scalable cloud data capabilities using Azure services.

You will lead data governance, modelling and migration efforts, work with stakeholders to translate complex needs into actionable architectural decisions, and mentor delivery teams in best practices.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Data Architect or similar senior role.
• Strong experience defining enterprise data architectures, roadmaps and governance.
• Hands-on with modern cloud data platforms, including Fabric, OneLake and Azure services.
• Strong data modelling capability across conceptual, logical and physical models.
• Experience facilitating architecture workshops and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Experience in consultancy or transformation environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead assessments of data landscapes and define target-state architectures.
• Design scalable cloud data platforms and lakehouse solutions using Azure services.
• Embed data governance, lineage, metadata and data quality.
• Lead discovery sessions and translate complexity into actionable roadmaps.
• Collaborate with delivery teams and stakeholders to implement architecture decisions.
• Coach consultants in data architecture practices.
